Every public number on this site has a URL

This is an independent compilation, last reviewed on the date in the banner. It is not an official government, GCF, or Adaptation Fund reporting system.

Rules

  • A money figure appears only if a cited public document contains that figure (or an official table from which it is copied).
  • If a funder has not published disbursement or expenditure, the field is "Not published" - never zero, never estimated.
  • Multi-country programmes keep programme totals and state that the Mauritius share is unpublished unless a document splits it (the Adaptation Fund coral component is the current exception).
  • Need (NDC, CCDR), tagged domestic spend (Appendix H), and international support received (FMCP, funder pages) are not added together.
  • Status is taken from the funder or UNDP page (under implementation, completed) or left unknown. We do not mark projects delayed for illustration.
  • Named works sites are shown on a Mauritius/Rodrigues schematic (not a world map). Dots are approximate localities from CEB, UNDP, GCF or Adaptation Fund reports, not surveyed works polygons. Site-level spend is "Not reported" unless a document publishes a figure for that site. Batch grants are not divided across substations.
  • Donor reports are APRs, PPRs and evaluations linked from GCF or Adaptation Fund pages. GCF public reporting for these projects is annual. We do not add a quarterly "next tranche" calendar unless a cited document states that cycle.
  • A currency other than USD is tested with the European Central Bank reference rate for the document date, pinned via Frankfurter. The original currency stays the cited amount. The rate is not refreshed on each page view.
  • A project that started before 5 October 2016 is named with the older records and does not get a project page. An existing climate record with no published start date stays on the main list.

Registry records

Older than 10 years

A project that started before 5 October 2016 is not given a project page, including when it is still open. It is named here.

Reviewed and not added

These pages were opened for this pass. A class with no qualifying public grant is named here. A blank field is not filled with a loan or an estimate.

  • Other Mauritius World Bank projects in the public API

World Bank. The Mauritius project list is mostly IBRD loans. Loans are not added as grants. P163248 (statistical capacity, recipient-executed grant USD 350,000) and P131818 (grid-code technical assistance, project cost USD 230,000) are under USD 1 million. P103467 (Mauritius Sugar Cogen) was approved on 26 June 2008, before 5 October 2016. P501014 (First Growth and Climate Resilience development policy financing) is pipeline with no board date and no commitment to copy.

  • African Development Bank portfolio for Mauritius

African Development Bank. No AfDB grant over USD 1 million with an approval on or after 5 October 2016 was copied. The country strategy mid-term review says grants, mainly from the MIC technical assistance fund, are about 0.03% of commitments. ECRSP is a loan: the project page reports a USD 240 million loan approved on 22 May 2024 (P-MU-K00-009), and an earlier phase was also a loan. The gas-insulated substation operation in the same review is listed as ADB-window financing of about USD 112 million, not a grant. The agro-industrial feasibility grant P-MU-A00-001 was approved on 21 September 2021 for UA 100,000, under USD 1 million. A supplementary grant is named on P-MU-A00-002; this review did not copy a Mauritius figure over USD 1 million from that page. P-MU-HAB-001 (MauBank) is an approved finance operation and is not labelled as a grant on the page opened.

  • Asian Development Bank sovereign project dataset

Asian Development Bank. The public sovereign-projects dataset page, as of 27 January 2026, lists the economies it covers. Mauritius is not in that list. No Mauritius grant above USD 1 million was identified from the page opened. The CSV was not used to invent a row.

  • Additional UN grants

United Nations. Climate records already on the registry stay, including GCF and Adaptation Fund lines. The UNDP page on seven new GEF Small Grants Programme projects names civil-society organisations and does not publish an individual grant over USD 1 million. The USD 8 million STAR figure on that page is a country allocation, not an NGO grant, and it is not added.

  • IFRC network plans for Mauritius and Seychelles

Red Cross / IFRC. The 2026 network country plan (20 February 2026) states an IFRC network funding requirement of CHF 184,000 and a host National Society total for Mauritius of CHF 330,000. At the ECB rate for that day, CHF 1 = USD 1.2885 (Frankfurter, https://api.frankfurter.app/2026-02-20?from=CHF&to=USD), those lines are USD 237,084 and USD 425,205, both under USD 500,000. The 2024–2025 plan’s multi-year funding requirement of CHF 3 million covers Mauritius and Seychelles together. No Mauritius-only split is published, so it is not added. Participating National Society bilateral support for 2025 is CHF 114,000, under the floor. Appeal codes beginning MDRMR in the IFRC list reviewed are Mauritania, not Mauritius.

  • OCHA Financial Tracking Service, Mauritius 2026

Humanitarian funding. Total funding reported for Mauritius in 2026 was USD 41,493 as of 15 April 2026, from the government of Saudi Arabia, for food security. That is under both floors.

  • MOL Charitable Trust grants to Mauritian organisations, 2026

Mauritian NGO. The 2026 award list names NGOs and associations. The lines it prints in USD are about USD 15,000 to USD 22,000. None clears USD 500,000. This page is not a review of every Mauritian NGO.

  • National Social Inclusion Foundation call for NGO applications

Mauritian NGO. The July 2025 call invites registered NGOs to apply for funding instrument F1. The page does not publish award amounts. A June 2026 news article describes National Assembly figures for NGO allocations, including lines that may exceed USD 500,000. That article is a secondary report, and the assembly paper was not opened, so those figures are not copied. Mauritius Red Cross is not given a second row.

  • Foreign-government and Gulf grants

Foreign government. The named list is the EU, France (AFD grants, not loans), India, Japan, the UK, the US, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The European Commission farmer grant already on the registry stays. No additional project page with a Mauritius grant over USD 1 million and a date on or after 5 October 2016 was added from this list. A newspaper total for AFD grants is not copied as a project row. The Saudi Arabia humanitarian line is the OCHA figure above.
